Catherine Goode, Sound Side Pilates

Catherine Goode, Sound Side Pilates
Along the Crystal Coast, Catherine Goode, owner of Sound Side Pilates, has created a luxury boutique studio focused on mindful, functional movement. With personalized one-on-one therapeutic sessions and intimate mat classes, Catherine has built a restorative space where clients—locals and visitors alike—feel supported, empowered, and truly cared for.

Tourism plays a major role in the studio’s success. “In peak season, we see about double what we see in the off-season,” Catherine explains. As the Crystal Coast continues to grow, more visitors arrive looking for wellness-centered spaces to call home during their stay. Many vacationers return in the fall and winter, and others share the studio with friends moving to the area or returning year after year. Word of mouth and social media have quickly become powerful tools, introducing Sound Side Pilates to people from across the country.

Catherine has watched the once-quiet off-season transform into a steady flow of clients—a shift she credits entirely to tourism. “No matter what type of small business you are, tourism impacts us all,” she says. “Small businesses wouldn’t be here without the loyalty and love from those who visit our town.”

Grateful for every person who walks through the door, Catherine is excited for the continued growth of the Crystal Coast and the future of local small businesses. For her, Sound Side Pilates is more than a studio—it’s a place where movement, community, and connection thrive because of the people who choose to visit and return.
