Virginia Bane, Posh Pelican
At Posh Pelican, Virginia Bain leads marketing and social media for a boutique known as much for its charm as its heartfelt hospitality. What makes the store truly special, she says, is the relationships formed inside its walls. “I can’t tell you the amount of friendships that have come out of Posh Pelican. People come in for something cute, but they stay because they’re welcomed by our fun and genuinely kind staff.”

Earlier this year, a fire forced the boutique to relocate, but the new space has brought unexpected blessings—more parking, more room, and increased foot traffic. Tourism has played a major role in that growth. “We love new people,” Virginia says. “Visitors come in, and then we see them again through online orders or when they return each year.”

Posh Pelican’s mission is simple: spread joy and make every customer feel like family. Virginia and the team take pride in hand-selecting clothing that’s unique, special, and thoughtfully chosen. Their hope is that each guest leaves with something they love—and a sense of belonging.

“We’re so thankful for our Crystal Coast community,” Virginia adds. “Our friends, our locals, and the tourists who visit all help make Posh Pelican what it is.”
